 A view from the plains of the Sichon Beach towards the mountains, the peak is nearly 1'900 m.
Khao Luang (Thai:เขา เหลือง)
is the highest elevation of Banthat mountain range (เทือกเขาบรรทัด) a.k.a. the Nakhon Si Thammarat mountain range (เทือกเขานครศรีธรรมราช). The peak has the altitude of 1835 m, the highest for Southern Thailand. Several small rivers originate in the mountain range, the Tapi River is the largest by far. The others being the Trang River and Pailin River.
 Excursion to the mountain, by hicking, by mountain bike or better by 4x4 drive.
